Copa Tool has been recertified in IATF 16949: 2016, confirming that Copa is in line with the most up-to-date, global requirements for quality management systems. This new recertification, superseding the company’s previous ranking, is a global industry standard of quality management that reflects an unprecedented level of industry data and discussion.
The stringent new IATF standard was created by the International Automotive Task Force, a group of automotive manufacturers dedicated to providing improved quality products to automotive customers worldwide. This new requirement brings together standards from both the U.S. and Europe, defining standards for design, manufacture, installation and service of automotive products. It brings together the various assessment and certification systems of the global automotive supply chain. Operating by this new standard keeps Copa in alignment with worldwide standards of consistency and quality management.
The new IATF standard strives to bring quality management and continual improvement to the heart of an organization. The regulations include more accountability and ownership over the quality management system from the management team, and ensure that top management has greater involvement in integrating the requirements into their organization’s processes. The regulation also sets standards meant to improve customer satisfaction.
This recertification demonstrates that the Copa management team is dedicated to providing commitment and leadership when it comes to implementing this quality management system and thereby providing quality products.
By complying with the new IATF standard the company increases its qualifications for work within the global automotive industry and demonstrates dedication to the most industry-intensive requirements for product planning and creation, product requirements review, design, purchasing, and control of equipment used to monitor and measure products.
Copa Tool is proud to be recertified for IATF 16949: 2016, once again confirming its commitment to a quality-driven automotive supply chain.
